What a puff-count headline leaves out
Why a number needs a method, conditions and a clearly identified model.

Start with the missing method
A numerical claim can appear precise while leaving its test conditions unstated. A puff figure may depend on draw length, operating mode and the definition of a completed test. Without the underlying method, it should remain an attributed manufacturer claim rather than a prediction for an individual.
Compare like with like
A figure for a whole system is not necessarily a figure for one component. A name may be reused across revisions, and a regional model may differ from a photograph elsewhere. Keep the full model designation, page date and stated conditions together. If the source does not distinguish these, record the uncertainty.
Do not turn a headline into a recommendation
This journal does not rank products by advertised counts or infer cost, safety or suitability from them. A larger headline is not a substitute for reliable documentation. The useful question is whether the source provides enough information to interpret the number at all.
Source note
Manufacturer documentation reviewed for GEEK BAR, FOGER and ALIBARBAR. No independent puff-count testing was performed.
